Community Safety and FireSmart™ Forums Across Metro Vancouver
Following three highly successful events in Delta, we are expanding our grassroots initiative to multiple locations across Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. The Community Safety and FireSmart Forum is a completely free educational series empowering residents with practical loss mitigation and property protection strategies.
Attendees will gain valuable insight into five core topics:
- FireSmart Principles
- Fraud / Scam Awareness
- Emergency Preparedness
- Community Safety and Crime Prevention
- DIY Target Hardening Tips
Accessible Event
- Wheelchair Accessible
- Working on getting voice to text on screen subtitles for the hearing impaired
Each large-screen educational event features an information fair in the lobby where attendees can connect with partners like
Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers | PreparedBC | CDART (Canadian Disaster Animal Response Team) and others
We are also actively working to secure live ASL translators to provide barrier-free accessibility for the hearing-impaired community.
